Stoneworks Spring Newsletter
We hope this newsletter finds you safe and well.
The world has gone aswirl in recent weeks, turning upside down and sideways like the colored bits inside a kaleidoscope. It’s hard to make out what’s going on when change is everywhere, and non-stop.
It’s natural to want to understand; to grasp a full measure of the moment. But another moment arrives with shocking speed, overtaking the last with insistent importance. There’s no time to make sense of what’s happening even though time’s in abundance while following the stay-at-home order.
Life offered plenty of uncertainty before the coronavirus pandemic. Although it’s a contradiction in terms, it now seems fair to say that uncertainty has become a sure thing.
Certainty may be stretched thin but a thread of it does continue to run through the daily fabric, allowing forward motion, one hand-hold at a time. It’s especially there if we allow touch, first of the five senses, to take the lead by connecting with hand-crafting traditions. Reach for the next best grip by trusting in the reality communicated through the fingertips. It links directly to the heart and mind with no translation required.
Take care, and when you can, get some stone in your hands.
