Chuck Eblacker
Last weekend while in New York state giving a presentation for the North American Rock Gardener’s Society I called in on Chuck Eblacker. Chuck is an outstanding craftsman building dry stone constructions in his home town of Rochester. Although he doesn’t consider himself an artist, his work is being featured on the Rochester Arts page in an upcoming edition of the Democrat and Chronicle.
His work has also been regularly featured in the Upstate Gardeners' Journal and blog. Chuck recently completed a beautiful addition to the grounds of the Harley School. His design of a serpentine wall and circular seating area is an excellent example of the stone worker’s craft and a true work of art on the landscape. The seating area is used by teachers and students as an outdoor classroom.
